UCAS outcomes 2024 cycle

In the 2024 UCAS cycle, there were a record number of UK 18-year-olds applying for university, with a 2.1% increase in applications and a 2.9% increase in acceptances.


It is still the most popular option for 18 year olds with 36.4% of all UK 18-year-olds entering higher education in September 2024.


The most popular and competitive courses in 2024/25 were Medicine, Law, Business Studies, Psychology and Computer Science.
